RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION waiving public bidding requirements and approving a sole source purchase of Locution <br /> Fire Station Alerting System from Locution Systems,Inc. <br /> WHEREAS,Locution Systems Inc. is the only alert system compatible with and authorized by our regional <br /> public safety communications center, SNOPAC; and <br /> WHEREAS,there are no other vendors who offer station alerting that integrates with the Locution base <br /> station; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is also a common requirement of public safety systems to have redundancy of critical <br /> components; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that <br /> because there is clearly and legitimately only one source capable of providing a Fire Station Alerting <br /> System;the City hereby waives competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the purchase of Locution <br /> Fire Station Alerting System from Locution Systems,Inc. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this day of ,2017. <br /> Council President <br /> 50 <br />
