I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT PUBLIC WORKS 00 21 13 <br /> SPECIAL PROVISIONS INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS <br /> B. Do not qualify Bids,since this will automatically be cause for rejection of the Bid. <br /> 1.14 BID SECURITY <br /> A. Bids shall be accompanied by Bid security as follows: <br /> 1. Bid bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents of a sum no less than five <br /> percent of Bid Price. <br /> a. The surety shall: (1) be registered with the Washington State Insurance <br /> Commissioner, and(2)appear on the current Authorized Insurance List in the State <br /> of Washington published by the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. <br /> 2. Certified or Cashier's check in the amount of a sum no less than five percent of Bid Price. <br /> B. Endorse Bid bond on the form provided in the Contract Documents in name of Owner, City of <br /> Everett,as obligee, fully executed by principal(Contractor) and surety. <br /> ' C. Bid securities will be returned after delivery to Owner of required 100%performance and 100% <br /> payment bonds by accepted Bidder. <br /> D. If accepted Bidder fails to execute the Agreement and indicated bonds and insurance within 14 <br /> calendar days after Notice of Award, Notice of Award may be annulled and Bidder's Bid <br /> security will be forfeited as liquidated damages. <br /> E. Include cost of Bid security in Bid Sum. <br /> F. After Bid has been accepted, Bid security will be returned to respective Bidders. <br /> G. If no contract is awarded,Bid security will be returned. <br /> 1 1.15 PERFORMANCE ASSURANCE <br /> A. Accepted Bidder: Provide separate 100%performance and 100%payment bonds as described in <br /> Document 00 72 13 -General Conditions. <br /> 1.16 BID FORM REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Complete requested information in City provided Bid Form found in the Contract Documents. <br /> B. Legibly fill in all blank spaces using non-erasable medium. <br /> C. In the event that the product of a unit price and an estimated quantity does not equal the <br /> extended amount quoted, the unit price shall govern, and the correct product of the unit price <br /> and the estimated quantity shall be deemed to be the amount bid. <br /> D.
