SUMMARY of OBSERVATIONS: Lot 135: Previously, GeoDesign noted surficially loose and saturated material beneath the footing areas for Lot 135. Today, GeoDesign noted that the foundation excavation subcontractor had removed most of the surficially loose and saturated material from the base of the lot area. While on-site, GeoDesign noted a few locations with approximately 3 inches of loose saturated material which was removed with a concrete rake while on-site. Penetration depths for the exposed footing subgrade were generally less than 2 inches. It is the opinion of GeoDesign that the exposed footing subgrade is currently suitable for support of the intended structure. GeoDesign recommends that any surficially loose or saturated material that may build up under the footing area be removed prior to the placement of concrete.
