The exposed foundation subgrade consisted of a brown silty SAND with gravel
on the southwest half of the site and a gray silty SAND with gravel on the northeast half of the site. Penetration depths
encountered using a 1/2 inch diameter soil probe were less than 3 inches.
Relative compaction of the exposed foundation subgrade material was rested using a Troxler Moisture-Density gauge.
In-place density tests indicated that the exposed foundation subgrade material had been compacted to greater than 95%of
its maximum dry density as determined by a Modified Proctor analysis.
It is the opinion of GeoDesign that the exposed foundation subgrade observed today is currently suitable for support of the
intended structure. GeoDesign recommends that any surficially loose and saturated material be removed from the base of
the foundation area prior to the placement of concrete.
Lot 167:
Today, GeoDesign observed the exposed foundation subgrade for Lot 167;the foundation and crawl space excavation had
been complet-d prior to our arrival on-site. The exposed foundation subgrade consisted of a brown silty SAND with gravel
on the southwest half of the site and a gray silty SAND with gravel on the northeast half of the site. Penetration depths
encountered usin a 1/2 inch diameter soil probe were less than 4 inches.
or-1,1-If Relativ_:compaction of the exposed foundation subgrade material was tested using a Troxler Moisture-Density gauge.
In-p;at,. density tests indicated that the exposed foundation subgrade material had been compacted to greater than 95%of
its maximum dry density as determined by a Modified Proctor analysis.
O, W P It is the oolr,o 4 GeoDesign that the exposed foundation subgrade observed today is currently suitable for support of the
intended st. re.
