SUMMARY of OBSERVATIONS: Lot 168: Today, GeoDesign noted that surface water under the footing subgrade area had pooled and frozen since our last site visit. GeoDesign notified Superior Concrete and John Feltner with Polygon that the ground should allowed to thaw prior to the placement of concrete. Lot 169: Previously, GeoDesign noted pooled water and loose material in the southeast corner of Lot 169. Today, GeoDesign noted that the pooled water and loose soil had frozen. GeoDesign also noted that pooled water across the footing subgrade area had also frozen. GeoDesign notified the concrete contractor and John with Polygon that the ground should be allowed to the thaw and surficially loose and saturated material be removed from the base of the footing areas prior to the placement of concrete. A summary of our observations can be found in the attached Figure 1.John Feltner with Polygon was notified of our observations prior to our departure from the site. This report presents opinions farmed as a result of our observation of activities relating to geotechnical engineering or environmental services.We rely on the contractor to compty»th the plans and specifications throughout the duration of the project irrespective of the presence of our representative.Our work does not include supervision or direction of the contractor,the contractor's empkryees or agents.
