Ted Budden
From: Ted Budden
Sent: Friday, February 19, 2016 11:34 AM
To: 'wagmorebarkless@hotmail.com'
Cc: Kevin Fagerstrom
Subject: Inspections : 1902 Virginia Ave. Everett WA.
DC Compound, LLC,
Attention: Jesse Lazano,
Sir,
I am contacting you concerning an inspection conducted recently of the property you own at 1902 Virginia Ave. Everett
WA.
During this inspection it was observed that exposed nonmetallic cable or"Romex" electrical wiring has been installed in
a portion of unit B.This wiring is not approved for exposed installations.
It was observed that some outlets have not been provided in required locations of the kitchen in this unit and that GFCI
protection is not installed.
During the inspection a request to inspect the electrical service panel for this unit and other portions of this unit was
made,this request was denied.
The person you assigned to allow access to the building indicated that approval for access to these portions of the
building had not been granted by the owner.
Access to this electrical panel and other areas of the building where electrical and other code concerns are present is
necessary to determine the safety of the structure for the occupants.
It should be mentioned here that the exterior siding of the building has deterioration in numerous locations and lacks
suitable protective treatment. Portions of the roof over the garage of the building are deteriorated when viewed from
the city sidewalk. These conditions are code violations.
Additionally,
We have received an application for permit to inspect an "existing 0 clearance gas stove". Gas piping installations
require a pressure test be conducted. If you require this inspection arrangements for this test will be necessary.
Please note that his permit has not yet been issued due to concerns related to the "limited access restrictions imposed"
for inspections of this building.
Please make arrangements for suitable access to the building for inspections.
This notice is not meant as a complete list of deficiencies within the building.
It has been identified however that corrections to the electrical system and other repairs will be necessary to bring the
structure into compliance.
Regards
Ted Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
1
