Hancock Onsite for ORA at contractor's request for inspection of HVAC ventilation duct welding. Welding <br /> 11/19/2015 process is FLAW, for seal welding of new ventilation duct for kitchen grill hood. Welding <br /> performed by Miguel Ortega—no certification required. Approved drawings show no other <br /> requirements beyond airtight seal for protection against leaks. To establish conformance with <br /> this requirement, a light-leak test/inspection was performed per IMC 506.3.2.5 on these welds by <br /> placing a light source inside of the duct work and inspecting the welds externally for light <br /> penetration. No light was observed penetrating the welds or any surface of the duct work.
