Beam B is required to support the load from a roof addition from 2011 . Beam B Beams are 6"x7 I" fir. Four 2x8 glued and screwed together. Beam A is a nominal 14'3" free span. Beam B is is a nominal 12'4" free span. Beam A is supported at both ends 6"x5 " columns made of our 2x6 fir glued and screwed together. Beam B is support by a similar column on the South end. The North end of B is tied into beam A 36" from the - = West end g.- Columns are topped with a 6x6 7—gauge column cap. The connection from B to A is accomplished with four 12" long lag 1'° s , 2 screws. Beam A requires J" hole drilled through to B.
