• • ORDINANCE NO. /773 q An Ordinance establishing water rates for customers of the Everett water system, and repealing Ordinance No. 1256-86 and Section 14.16.870 of the EMC WHEREAS Ordinance No. 1256-86 was adopted on July 1, 1986 establishing the current water rates for Everett water customers; and WHEREAS Ordinance No. 1256-86 also called for a biennial review of the cost of providing water service to all customer classes, starting in 1990; and NOW, THEREFORE, the Everett City Council does ordain: Section 1: Based on a five-year capital improvements plan for the Everett water system and a cost of service study that has been prepared which show the need for additional revenues to construct needed transmission lines, replace distribution mains, enhance and expand the water filtration plant; and increased Maintenance & Operation costs; the Everett City Council finds that rates and charges for water and filtration services should be increased. The Council further finds that the rates and charges hereafter are reasonable. Section 2: Effective June 1, 1991 and thereafter, the monthly water rates and charges, monthly minimum charges, filtration charges, and provisions relating to rates and charges throughout the water system shall be as follows: A. Within the City Limits 1. Fixed rate accounts- minimum monthly water charge $11.05 Filtration charge 2.60 Total Fixed Rate $13.65 2. a. Metered rates-water charge First 600 cu. ft., 0-600 cu. ft.. $8.51 Next 2400 cu. ft., 600-3000 cu. ft. .95 per 100 cu. ft. Next 12,000 cu. ft., 3000-15,000 cu. ft. .52 per 100 cu.ft. Next 185,000 cu. ft., 15,000-200,000 cu. ft. .28 per 100 cu. ft. Over 200,000 cu. ft. .21 per 100 cu.ft. b.
