ORDINANCE NO. 1767-91 An ordinance amending the Zoning Map of the City of Everett as provided by Ordinance No. 1671-89 as amended, rezoning an approximate area of 2.06 acres, generally described as Lots 1 through 8 of block 2 Laurel Heights on the 5500-5600 block of Colby Avenue; from R-1: Single Family Detached Low Density Residential to R-3(L) : Multiple Family Low Density Residential zone. WHEREAS, on July 19 , 1990 , July 26 , 1990 and September 6, 1990 , the City of Everett's Land Use Hearing Examiner held public hearings regarding the rezone of the hereinafter described properties from R-l: Single Family Detached Low Density Residential to R-3(L) : Multiple Family Low Density Residential zone; and WHEREAS, on September 20, 1990, the City's Land Use Hearing ( Examiner, base upon the findings of facts and conclusions, testimony and evidence presented at the public hearing preceding did recommend that the City Council approve the requested rezone; WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on the requested rezone and hereby adopts the Land Use Hearing Examiner's findings, conclusions and recommendations; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said properties should be rezoned to R-3(L) : Multiple Family Low Density Residential ; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1 : That the City Council does hereby find that the zoning change hereinafter set forth is consistent with the applicable provisions of the City of Everett General Plan; bears a substantial relationship to the public health, safety and welfare; and promotes the best long-term interests of the Everett community. Furthermore, the rezone is necessary to implement the City's General Plan policies. SPrtinn 2: That the Zoning Map of the City of Everett, as established by Ordinance No. 1671-89 as amended is hereby amended ` from R-1: Single Family Detached Low Density Residential zone to R-3 (L) : Multiple Family Low Density Residential zone for the following described property: Lots 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6 , 7 , and 8 of Block 2 Laurel Heights, Volume 10 of Plats, page 54 Records of Snohomish County, Washington State.
