ORDINANCE NO. 1767-91 <br /> An ordinance amending the Zoning Map of the <br /> City of Everett as provided by Ordinance No. <br /> 1671-89 as amended, rezoning an approximate <br /> area of 2.06 acres, generally described as Lots <br /> 1 through 8 of block 2 Laurel Heights on the <br /> 5500-5600 block of Colby Avenue; from R-1: <br /> Single Family Detached Low Density Residential <br /> to R-3(L) : Multiple Family Low Density <br /> Residential zone. <br /> WHEREAS, on July 19 , 1990 , July 26 , 1990 and September 6, <br /> 1990 , the City of Everett's Land Use Hearing Examiner held public <br /> hearings regarding the rezone of the hereinafter described <br /> properties from R-l: Single Family Detached Low Density <br /> Residential to R-3(L) : Multiple Family Low Density Residential <br /> zone; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 20, 1990, the City's Land Use Hearing <br /> ( Examiner, base upon the findings of facts and conclusions, <br /> testimony and evidence presented at the public hearing preceding <br /> did recommend that the City Council approve the requested rezone; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing on the <br /> requested rezone and hereby adopts the Land Use Hearing <br /> Examiner's findings, conclusions and recommendations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that said properties <br /> should be rezoned to R-3(L) : Multiple Family Low Density <br /> Residential ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That the City Council does hereby find that the zoning <br /> change hereinafter set forth is consistent with the applicable <br /> provisions of the City of Everett General Plan; bears a <br /> substantial relationship to the public health, safety and <br /> welfare; and promotes the best long-term interests of the Everett <br /> community. Furthermore, the rezone is necessary to implement the <br /> City's General Plan policies. <br /> SPrtinn 2: That the Zoning Map of the City of Everett, as <br /> established by Ordinance No. 1671-89 as amended is hereby amended <br /> ` from R-1: Single Family Detached Low Density Residential zone to <br /> R-3 (L) : Multiple Family Low Density Residential zone for the <br /> following described property: <br /> Lots 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5, 6 , 7 , and 8 of Block 2 Laurel <br /> Heights, Volume 10 of Plats, page 54 Records of <br /> Snohomish County, Washington State. <br />
