• • 1 ORDINANCE No./751- 90 2 AN ORDINANCE proclaiming the City of Everett Centennial Celebration and establishing the City of Everett Centennial 3 Committee. 4 5 WHEREAS, the year 1993 will constitute the 100th year in the life of 6 the City of Everett; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Everett desire to 7 celebrate Everett's 100th year with a program that encompasses the past, 8 present and looks to the future; and 9 WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council seek the advice and counsel of residents and business persons in the City to recommend promotional programs 10 and projects and to determine specific celebratory events; 11 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 12 Section 1 : The year 1993 is hereby proclaimed as Everett Centennial Year. 13 Section 2: March 1 , 1993, through August 31 , 1993, is hereby 14 proclaimed as the period for the Everett Centennial Celebration. 15 Section 3: The Everett Centennial Advisory Committee is hereby established the members which shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved 16 by City Council . The Everett Centennial Advisory Committee shall be a duly 17 recognized committee pursuant to EMC 2.76.005.
