• <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1703-90 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 4056 as amended <br /> by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1501-88 to permit certain <br /> 4 objects to be placed upon the sidewalk areas. <br /> 5 <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 6 <br /> Section 1 : Section 4 of Ordinance No. 4056 (EMC 13.12.030) as amended <br /> 7 <br /> by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1501 -88 reads as follows: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Objects permitted upon sidewalk areas: <br /> 10 With the consent of the Director of Public Works or his <br /> designee, upon application being made to the Public Works <br /> 11 Department, the following objects may be placed upon the sidewalk <br /> areas in the City of Everett as long as it is done in accordance <br /> 12 with all City ordinances and regulations adopted by the Director <br /> of Public Works or his designee, to wit: <br /> 13 <br /> (1 ) Containers for shrubs or trees. Receptacles or <br /> 14 containers for shrubs or trees which tend to beautify the City of <br /> Everett. <br /> 15 <br /> (2) Trash containers. Containers or receptacles provided <br /> 16 for the deposit of trash or other refuse matter. <br /> 17 (3) Telephone booths. Telephone booths installed under <br /> the direction of the telephone company authorized to do business <br /> 18 in the City of Everett. <br /> 19 (4) Display merchandise.
