• <br /> w <br /> installing a section of distribution system piping in a <br /> new plat or subdivision or undeveloped lot , the <br /> Water Utility or developer shall , at the same time , <br /> install water service piping from the main to each of <br /> the platted or undeveloped lots . It is the intent of <br /> this section to minimize the number of "open-cuts" <br /> required in a newly paved street in order to provide <br /> water service to subsequently constructed homes . <br /> Similarly, for other developments requiring new mains , <br /> the developer shall install the service less meter, at <br /> the time of main installation. The cost of materials , <br /> labor and equipment necessary to complete the service <br /> line installations to City standards shall be borne by <br /> the developer or local improvement district paying for <br /> the distribution system piping . At such time as a <br /> request is made for a building permit , the individual <br /> making the application shall pay to the Water Utility <br /> the sum of ( $105 . 00 ) one hundred and five dollars for a <br /> 3/4 inch service connection, ( $130 . 00 ) one hundred and <br /> thirty dollars for a 1 inch connection, and ( $260 . 00 ) <br /> two hundred and sixty dollars for a 2 inch service <br /> connection or such amount as specified in the current <br /> ordinance or resolution setting rates and charges for <br /> the water system, for a service connection of any size <br /> which has been previously installed complete by a <br /> developer or local improvement district . Such sum shall <br /> be used for meter purchase , installation and to complete <br /> the necessary records and accounting for the new <br /> service. If a service of a different size or type than <br /> that previously installed is needed, then the individual <br /> requiring the new service will have to purchase the new <br /> service at the standard rate then charged by the Water <br /> Utility.
