• CRITERION REQUIREMENT Sampling access:A sampling hatch of approximate 2 feet by 2 feet dimensions shall be included as part of the equipment access hatch,or separately, in order to access the clearwell influent for sampling. Center Baffle • Provide new hanging baffle to replace existing baffle. Curtain • Replace with material consistent with existing(e.g., Hypalon). • Install the baffle to the full plan view extent of the existing baffle,extending vertically from the floor to above the high water level for the clearwell. • Provide curtain baffle that can accommodate potential slosh wave forces without damaging baffle or requiring additional column strengthening while mitigating potential short-circuiting during normal operation. Wash-down • Replace the existing tank wash-down system within the clearwell with all new materials System suitable for submergence and exposure to chlorine. • Preserve the same number of outlet ports and discharge pressure, and ensure adequate support of the wash-down piping. 4.3.2 Screen House Bridge Replacement Design-Builder shall provide final design for connections to the existing screening building and to the existing abutment located on the reservoir dike, and install bridge accordingly. Owner is in process of procuring a pedestrian bridge that will replace the existing concrete Screen House Bridge. The Owner-furnished pedestrian bridge will be based on the conceptual design documents transmitted with the RFP(see Table 2.1). The pedestrian bridge assembly provided by the City will arrive in two pieces along with all parts and materials to connect both pieces. Design-Builder is required to assemble full span bridge, place bridge on current abutments and modify such abutments as necessary to accommodate the bridge. Design-Builder is also responsible for installing the concrete deck and steel reinforcement for the bridge deck surface. For purposes of construction planning,the approximate pick weight of the new bridge is 20,000 pounds.Verify the actual bridge weight based on the selected bridge supplier. The Vendor providing the apparent low price for supplying the prefabricated pedestrian bridge noted in these documents is Big R Bridge. The Vendor states delivery to be accomplished 75 calendar days after receipt of order. Owner anticipates issuing Notice of Award by August 11, 2017. The Vendor proposes to provide the following: 1. Bridge Model: Ped Truss-Parallel Chord - H Section FB 2. Length: 90 ft(out to out dimension) 3. Width: 5 ft (clear between rails) 4. Design Code: AASHTO LRFD Guide Specification Design Vehicle: 5000 lbs. 5. Live Load: 90 psf( LRFD) 6. Number of Pieces: 2 (field bolting by others) 7.
