ATTACHMENT A <br /> #1 <br /> The focus areas(DV,SA stalking,dating violence) <br /> The Snohomish County CCR Team identified four focus areas. Those include: <br /> 1) Focus Area 1- Provide training to officers county-wide on understanding the mindset of a batterer. <br /> 2) Focus Area 2—Update the DV Lethality Assessment Form used by police officers to specifically <br /> increase the information gathered about the DV batterer's access to firearms. <br /> 3) Focus Area 3— Update the Domestic Violence Victim Information form. <br /> 4) Focus Area 4—Expand membership of the CCR Team to include under-represented groups, possibly <br /> including service providers working with vulnerable adults, homeless and mentally ill. <br /> #2 <br /> The goal of the activities <br /> 1) Goal Area 1—With the aforementioned training,officers will be able to better document observed <br /> batterer behavior& manipulation in reports painting a more complete picture for the court helping <br /> to increase conviction rates and sentencing. <br /> 2) Goal Area 2—Provide better information on suspect access to firearms to the prosecutor's office <br /> and court, with the goal of removing more firearms from the suspects thereby decreasing their <br /> future access to them. <br /> 3) Goal Area 3—DV Victims have told the prosecutor's office that this form is not particularly useful. <br /> Some of the information is required by RCW. The additional parts of the form need to be updated <br /> to be more useful to victims of domestic violence with the goal of increasing their communication <br /> with the prosecutor's office and victim services and greater utilization of the services available to <br /> them. <br /> 4) Goal Area 4—Decrease the incidence of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and <br /> stalking in the identified population subgroups. <br />
