October 11, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., October 11, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Lars Hjorten, member of Boy Scout Troop No.137, led the Pledge of <br /> Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 4, 2017, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson announced that the 2017 Monte Cristo Awards <br /> ceremony would take place tomorrow at the Snohomish County PUD <br /> Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The Mayor also invited Police Chief Templeman to <br /> provide an update regarding a recent shooting and gang activity. <br /> Police Chief Templeman addressed youth violence that is impacting the <br /> community. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council members thanked Chief Templeman for his commitment to the <br /> community. <br /> Council Member Moore commented on the Public Safety Subcommittee <br /> meeting held earlier this evening. <br /> Council Member Franklin provided a recap from the Public Safety <br /> Subcommittee meeting. She also reported on her attendance at the <br /> Riverside Neighborhood meeting. <br /> Council Member Bader provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management Policy Board meeting. <br /> 339 <br />
