2 <br /> gv . <br /> ORDINANCE NO. --- <br /> AN ORDINANCE approving the reallocation of$400,000 <br /> in 2017 budgeted dollars to support the Housing Hope <br /> HopeWorks Station II Project, amending Ordinance No. <br /> 3569-17 <br /> WHEREAS,there is significant need for supportive housing in the City of Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Catholic Housing Services and Housing Hope are developing homeless <br /> housing projects in the City of Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett, Snohomish County, and Providence Regional Medical <br /> Center agreed to partner to assist Catholic Community Services in its effort to provide <br /> supportive services in the Safe Streets Supportive Housing project developed by Catholic <br /> Housing Services; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council approved a $200,000 contribution to Catholic Community <br /> Services in the 2017 budget for counseling services at the proposed supportive housing <br /> project; and <br /> WHEREAS, another $200,000 for Catholic Community Services was included in the <br /> proposed 2018 Operating Budget for counseling services at the supportive housing project <br /> in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, counseling services will not be needed until 2019, when the project is <br /> complete and occupied; and <br /> WHEREAS,additional funding is needed in order to keep Catholic Housing Services' and <br /> Housing Hope's projects on schedule; and <br /> WHEREAS, Housing Hope has collaborated with the City, Snohomish County, and <br /> Catholic Housing Services to find ways to fund both projects, including Housing Hope <br /> sharing a portion of its 2017 Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit award with the City <br /> sponsored Catholic Housing Services project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the $200,000 contribution for counseling services included in the 2018 <br /> proposed budget has been removed; <br /> • <br /> 4 <br />
