• • - • r <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. /e- g9 <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending the City's Parking Ordinance, Ordinance <br /> 3 No. 994-83 (Chapter 46.28 EMC) to amend the repeat violator <br /> provisions, to repeal the additional penalty for deficient <br /> 4 payments (Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1526-88), to amend the <br /> definition of parking infractions to include them in the <br /> 5 broader category of traffic infractions, and to amend the <br /> office of parking hearing examiner (Section 3 of Ordinance <br /> 6 No. 1346-87) . <br /> 7 " <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 8 Section 1 : That Section 26 of Ordinance No. 994-83 as amended by <br /> 9 Ordinance No. 1510-88 and Ordinance No. 1526-88 (EMC 46.28.260) which reads <br /> 10 as follows: <br /> 11 Penalties. <br /> 12 A. Unless specifically set forth elsewhere in this Ordinance, <br /> the penalties for each violation of the provisions of this <br /> 13 Ordinance shall be: <br /> 14 1 . Overtime Parking: Ten Dollars ($10.00) ; <br /> 15 2. Unauthorized Parking in Alley: Ten Dollars ($10.00) ; <br /> 16 3. Parking in Disabled Space Without Requisite Permit, <br /> Decal , or License: Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) ; <br /> 17 <br /> 4. Parking, Stopping or Standing in Fire Lane in <br /> 18 Violation of this Ordinance: Twenty-Five Dollars <br /> ($25.00) ; <br /> 19 <br /> 5. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing <br /> 20 marks in violation of this Ordinance: Twenty-Five <br /> Dollars ($25.00) ; <br /> 21 <br /> 6. All other violations: Ten Dollars ($10.00) . <br /> 22 <br /> B. If no response or payment be made within ten (10) calendar <br /> 23 days of the date of issuance of the notice of parking <br /> violation, the penalty for each violation shall be: <br /> 24 <br /> 1 . Overtime Parking: Twenty Dollars ($20.00) ; <br /> 25 <br /> 2. Unauthorized Parking in Alley: Twenty Dollars <br /> 26 ($20.00) ; <br /> 27 3. Parking in Disabled Space Without Requisite Permit, <br /> Decal , or License Plate: Fifty Dollars ($50.00) ; <br /> 28 <br /> 4. Parking, Stopping or Standing in Fire Lane in <br /> 29 Violation of this Ordinance: Fifty Dollars ($50.00) ; <br /> 30 5. Interfering with, concealing, obliterating or erasing <br /> marks in violation of this Ordinance: Fifty Dollars <br /> 31 ($50.00) ; <br /> 32 6. All Other Violations: Twenty Dollars ($20.00) . <br />
