1 ORDINANCE NO. /65c) -F9 <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to minors in possession of liquor, <br /> 3 amending Ordinance No. 1145-85, Sec. 88 (EMC 10.74.060(B) ) . <br /> 4 <br /> 5 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 6 Section 1 : Section 88 of Ordinance 1145-85 (EMC 10.74.060) , which <br /> 7 reads as follows: <br /> 8 <br /> A. It shall be a misdemeanor for any person to give or <br /> 9 otherwise supply liquor to any person under the age of <br /> twenty-one years, or permit any person under that age to <br /> 10 consume liquor on his premises or on any premises under his <br /> control . <br /> 11 <br /> B. It shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more <br /> 12 than one thousand dollars ($1 ,000) , for any person under <br /> the age of twenty-one years to acquire or have in his <br /> 13 possession or consume any liquor. <br /> 14 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 15 <br /> 16 A. It is a misdemeanor for any person to give or otherwise <br /> supply liquor to any person under the age of twenty-one <br /> 17 years, or permit any person under that age to consume <br /> liquor on his premises or on any premises under his control . <br /> 18 <br /> B. It shall be a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more <br /> 19 than one thousand dollars ($1 ,000) , for any person under <br /> the age of twenty-one years, to acquire, drink, consume or <br /> 20 possess liquor, or to have consumed liquor and be or remain <br /> within the city limits of Everett. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Section 2: SEVERABILITY. <br /> 23 Should any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase <br /> 24 of this ordinance or its application to any person or situation be declared <br /> 25 unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect <br /> 26 the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application <br /> 27 to any other person or situation. The City Council of the City of Everett <br /> 28 hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, <br /> 29 subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the <br /> 30 fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases <br /> 31 or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional . <br /> 32 <br />
