"S . 1 ORDINANCE NO. /6,c2 7- 2 AN ORDINANCE authorizing the condemnation of certain property 3 for the widening and improvement of W. Marine View Drive. 4 5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds as follows: 6 1 . Increased traffic in the vicinity of the Port area, particularly 7 the construction of the Puget Sound Naval Station, demonstrates the need to 8 widen W. Marine View Drive from 18th to Pacific Avenue, et al . 9 2. The right-of-way acquired for the widening of W. Marine View 10 Drive would be utilized for a public street and appurtenant improvements. 11 3. The property sought to be acquired for the widening of W. Marine 12 View Drive is shown in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by 13 reference herein. 14 4. The public interests of the City of Everett require that the 15 property shown in Exhibit A be acquired for permanent public use as public 16 right-of-way. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 18 Section 1 : The property described in Exhibit A, which is incorporated 19 herein by reference, is hereby found necessary for public use for street and 20 utility and municipal purposes, and the City Council of the City of Everett 21 does hereby authorize the Mayor to acquire said property by condemnation, if 22 necessary, in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington and 23 applicable City ordinances. 24 25 J// / W LLIAM E.
