ORDINANCE NO. / '? <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 1434-88, which created a special fund <br /> entitled "Riverside Traffic Signal Improvements", Fund 312, to accumulate all <br /> the design and construction costs for the traffic signal improvements project, <br /> including replacement of traffic signal controllers, construction of a traffic <br /> signal telemetry system, vehicle detectors and other necessary improvements. <br /> WHEREAS, on January 27, 1988, the City of Everett created a special fund <br /> entitled "Riverside Traffic Signal Improvements", Fund 312. <br /> WHEREAS, in 1985, the City of Everett installed a central computer for <br /> operation and supervision of traffic signals within the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, on October 30, 1985, Ordinance 1811-85, entitled "Traffic Engineering <br /> Improvements", was passed which repealed Ordinance 1036-84, and budgeted <br /> preliminary engineering in the following programs: <br /> Fund 368, Program 363, Riverside Signal and Interconnect <br /> Design, $50,000; <br /> WHEREAS, on July 23, 1986, the City of Everett entered an agreement with David <br /> Hamlin & Associates to provide preliminary engineering for the traffic signal <br /> improvements to the Riverside area; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN THAT: <br /> Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund 312 <br /> entitled "Riverside Traffic Signal Improvements" to accumulate the <br /> design and construction costs required to design and construct the <br /> traffic signal improvements, including replacement of traffic <br /> signal controllers, construction of a traffic signal telemetry <br /> system, vehicle detectors and other necessary improvements. <br /> Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to transfer the preliminary <br /> engineering funds from the existing "Traffic Engineering <br /> Improvements, Fund 368, Program 363 to the new Fund 312 Program <br /> 941, "Riverside Traffic Signal Improvements." <br /> Section 3: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute <br /> payments from Fund 312 for design and construction of the traffic <br /> signal improvements, including replacement of traffic signal <br /> controllers, construction of a traffic signal telemetry system, <br /> vehicle detectors and other necessary improvements. <br /> Section 4: Authorization is hereby granted for the "Public Works Director," <br /> under the direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete <br /> responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things to <br /> accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. <br />
