2007 <br /> Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGR-9 Fire Department Re-appropriation-2005 H S Planner Grant 032R 39,733 <br /> GGR-9 General Fund Re-appropriation-2005 H S Planner Grant 002R 39,733 <br /> The City received a grant award in 2005 of$71,622 through the FFY2005 Homeland Security Grant <br /> Program from the Department of Homeland Security and Washington State EMD to enhance the <br /> preparedness of the nation to combat terrorism. This grant award is being utilized by continuing <br /> employment of a Homeland Security Planner for our Emergency Management division. This was a fixed <br /> price, reimbursement contract. There are no matching funds required from the City of Everett. The <br /> $71,622 was included in the fire department budget for the year of 2006. <br /> We re-appropriatioin carries forward the remaining balance of this award into the 2007 fire department <br /> budget. The current balance is approximately $39,733. <br /> On Dec. 27, 2006, City Council approved an Amendment to this award authorizing $30,000 to be <br /> moved from salaries and benefits to the equipment section of this grant. We anticipate spending the <br /> remaining funds on mass shelter capabilities. <br /> The contract end date is Feb. 28, 2007. These funds <br /> were to supplement local emergency management operating budgets in an effort to enhance their <br /> emergency management programs. There were 100% matching funds required from the City of Everett <br /> Emergency Management budget. <br /> To date, $29,878 was invoiced and paid on this contract. On Dec. 27, 2006, City Council approved an <br /> Amendment A to this contract which extended the contract end date from December 31, 2006 to May <br /> 31, 2007. The remaining balance is currently$11,385. <br /> This amendment re-appropriates $11,385.22 to the Fire budget in 2007. This is the amount that will be <br /> spent and reimbursed during 2007.
