The City has been <br /> - awarded a 2018 grant in the amount of$10,000 to develop a historic walking tour for the Hewitt District and <br /> Downtown. The tour will be available to the public and visitor in electronic format(web and mobile) and <br /> printed materials. <br /> The City will use GIS mapping software and,working with local historians,provide research,building <br /> histories and images. The result will be a web-based tour accessible from any computer or mobile device, <br /> along with an estimated 1,000 printed tour brochures for distribution and display throughout downtown. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the grant agreement with Washington State Department of Archaeology and <br /> Historic Preservation to complete a historic walking tour of the Hewitt District and Downtown. <br /> 135 <br />
