and inserting in its place: <br /> 403 - Standards To Be Followed. The following standards shall be followed <br /> by the Building Official (the City Council if a demolition resolution and <br /> by the Board of Appeals if an appeal is taken) in ordering the repair, <br /> vacation, or demolition of any dangerous building or structure: <br /> 1. Any building declared a dangerous building shall either by repaired <br /> in accordance with the current Building Code or shall be demolished <br /> at the option of the building owner. <br /> 2. If the building or structure is in such condition as to make it <br /> immediately dangerous to life, limb, property or safety of the public <br /> or its occupants, it shall be ordered vacated; a vacated building may <br /> be required to be secured against unauthorized entry. <br /> F. Section 801(a) of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br /> Buildings, 1988 Edition, is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> Procedure. When any work of repair or demolition is to be done pursuant <br /> to Section 701(c)3 of this Code, the Building Official shall issue his <br /> order therefor to the Director of Public Works and the work shall be <br /> accomplished by personnel of this jurisdiction or by private contract <br /> under the direction of said Director. Plans and specifications therefor <br /> may be prepared by said Director, or he may employ such architectural and <br /> engineering assistance on a contract basis as he may deem reasonably <br /> necessary. If any part of the work is to be accomplished by private <br /> contract, standard public works contractual procedures shall be followed. <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> Procedure. When any work of repair, securing or demolition is to be done <br /> pursuant to Section 701(c)3 of this Code, the Building Official shall <br /> order the work to be accomplished by the City personnel or by private <br /> contract under the direction of said Building Official. Plans and <br /> specifications therefor may be prepared by said Building Official or he <br /> may employ such architectural and engineering assistance on a contract <br /> basis as he may deem reasonable necessary. <br /> G. Section 901 of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br /> Buildings, 1988 Edition, is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> Sec. 901. The Director of Public Works shall keep an itemized account of <br /> the expense incurred by the City in the repair or demolition of any <br /> building done pursuant to the provisions of Section 701(c)3 of this Code. <br /> Upon completion of the work of repair or demolition, said Director shall <br /> prepare and file with City Clerk a report specifying the work done, the <br /> itemized and total cost of work, a description of the real property upon <br /> which the building or structure is or was located, and the names and <br /> addresses of the persons entitled to notice pursuant to subsection (c) of <br /> Section 401. <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> Sec. 901.
