ORDINANCE NO. 76 G 9 -7 ? <br />AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the 1988 Editions of the <br />Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards <br />and repealing Ordinance No's. 1249-86 & 1446-88. <br />THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1: This ordinance shall be known as the "Everett Plumbing Code." <br />Section 2: The Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform Plumbing Code <br />Standards, together with Appendices A, B, C, D and H and the Installation <br />Standards, as published by the International Association of Plumbing and <br />Mechanical Officials being particularly the 1988 Editions thereof and the <br />whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, <br />modified or amended are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated herein as <br />fully as if set out at length herein. <br />Section 3: Amendments Made In The Uniform Plumbing Code and the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code Standard. <br />A. The 1988 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended by <br />deleting Chapter 12 of the Code in its entirety. <br />B. Notwithstanding any wording in the 1988 Editions of the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code or the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards, neither the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code nor the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards shall apply to the <br />installation of gas piping, water heaters, or vents for water heaters. <br />C. Section 20.2(a) of the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br />hereby amended by deleting: <br />The Administrator Authority may appoint such assistants, deputies, <br />inspectors or other employees as are authorized to carry out the functions <br />of the department of this Code. <br />and inserting in its place: <br />The Building Official may appoint such assistants, deputies, inspectors or <br />other employees as are authorized to carry out the functions of the <br />Division and this Code. <br />D. The 1988 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, Section 20.3, is <br />hereby amended by the addition of the following: <br />
