Section 20.14 of the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br />hereby amended by deleting: <br />Board of Appeals <br />20.14 A board shall be appointed and this board shall act as a Board of <br />Appeals in making a correct determination of any appeal arising from <br />actions of the Administrative Authority. Appeals shall be amde in writing <br />and the appellant may appear in person before the Board or be represented <br />by an attorney and may introduce evidence to support his claims. Appeals <br />shall be heard at reasonable times at the convenience of the Board but not <br />later than 30 days after receipt thereof. The appellant shall cause to be <br />made at his own expense any tests or research required by the Board to <br />substantiate his claims. <br />and inserting in its place: <br />Board of Appeals <br />In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations <br />made by the Building Official relative to the application and <br />interpretation of this code, there shall be and is hereby created a Board <br />of Appeals pursuant to Ordinance No. 351-75. Appeals from written orders <br />of the Building Official must be filed within thirty (30) calendar days <br />from the date of receipt of the written order by the aggrieved party. The <br />aggrieved party shall cause to be made at his own expense any tests or <br />research required to substantiate his claim. <br />H. Section 102(c) of the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br />hereby amended by deleting: <br />(c) Administrative Authority - the Administrative Authority is <br />the individual official, board, department, or agency established and <br />authorized by a state, county, city, or other political subdivision <br />created by law to administer and enforce the provisions of the plumbing <br />code as adopted or amended. <br />and inserting in its place: <br />(c) Administrative Authority - The Administrative Authority is <br />the Building Official and is the official authorized to administer and <br />enforce the provisions of this Code. <br />I. Section 117(h) of the 1988 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br />hereby amended by deleting: <br />(h) Plumbing System - The plumbing system means and includes <br />all potable water supply and distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and <br />traps, all drainage and vent pipe and all building drains, including their <br />respective joints and connection, devices, receptacles and appurtenances <br />within the property lines of the premises and shall include potable water <br />piping, potable water treating or using equipment, fuel gas piping, water <br />heaters and vents for same. <br />4 <br />
