This notice shall be provided in such manner and form as may <br />be reasonably required by the Administrator of the Safe <br />Drinking Water Act Amendments of 1986. Notice under this <br />paragraph shall be provided notwithstanding the absence of a <br />violation of any national drinking water standard. <br />2. Contents of Notice - Notice under this paragraph shall <br />provide a clear and readily understandable explanation <br />of: <br />(a) the potential sources of lead in the drinking <br />water, <br />(b) potential adverse health effects, <br />(c) reasonably available methods of mitigating known <br />or potential lead content in drinking water, <br />(d) any steps the system is taking to mitigate lead <br />content in drinking water, and <br />(e) the necessity for seeking alternative water <br />supplies, if any. <br />II. DEFINITION OF LEAD FREE - For purposes of this section, the term "lead <br />free" - <br />1. when used with respect to solders and flux refers to solders <br />and flux containing not more than 0.2 percent lead, and <br />2. when used with respect to pipes and pipe fittings refers to <br />pipes and pipe fittings containing not more than 8.0 percent <br />lead. <br />7 <br />
