November 1, 2017 <br /> Council Member Bader thanked the Mayor for his budget message. He <br /> also provided a liaison report on his attendance at the Snohomish County <br /> Alliance for Housing Affordability meeting. <br /> Council Member Murphy congratulated Judge Kaestner on her <br /> appointment. He thanked the Mayor for his budget message and Boy <br /> Scout Troop members for leading tonight's Pledge of Allegiance. Council <br /> Member Murphy announced that the next Budget Subcommittee meeting <br /> is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, at 5:15 p.m. in the Council <br /> chambers. <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked the Mayor for his budget message, and <br /> he congratulated Judge Kaestner and Eileen Simmons. Council Member <br /> Roberts also provided a General Government Subcommittee meeting <br /> recap. <br /> Council Member Tuohy congratulated Judge Kaestner on her appointment <br /> and thanked Eileen Simmons for her years of service. She announced the <br /> Council Retreat minutes and summary will be posted online by Friday. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Debra Bryant, Administration, had no report. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles reminded the audience that the time for citizen <br /> comments may not be used for campaign purposes and that no person <br /> may use public comment for the purpose of assisting the campaign for <br /> election of any person to any office or for the promotion of or opposition to <br /> any ballot proposition. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Christopher Carter, Everett, spoke about the future of the nation and the <br /> creation of new jobs. <br /> 377 <br />
