On those locations the vents for dryers, baths,and utility ducts are <br /> positioned up against the deck soffit. Originally they were framed with 2x8s. Because the new decks called out 2x10s, <br /> the vents are partially up inside the new assembly. Please see attached photo. I realize we will now have to wrap the <br /> protruding beams to maintain the fire rating.
