ARTICLE 3 - EXCLUSIVE BARGAINING REPRESENTATIVE <br /> The Employer agrees to recognize the Union as the exclusive bargaining representative for all <br /> persons in the job classifications listed in Article 6. <br /> All new employees listed in Article 6 who begin employment with the City shall become <br /> members of the Union within thirty-one (31) days of hire as a condition of employment. <br /> Upon Union's notification by the City of a new hire, the Union will fully inform the new employee <br /> of membership rights and benefits and obtain a receipt of a written and signed form from the <br /> employee authorizing payroll deduction for Union dues. The City upon receipt of said form will <br /> deduct each month Union dues and assessments from the employee's wages in the manner <br /> prescribed by law. The amount so deducted shall be mailed each month to the Union. <br /> 3 <br />
