A person commits the offense of interference with a police dog when he or <br /> she knowingly grabs, harasses, strikes, attempts to injure or to hold a collar <br /> of, or to interfere with, any dog used by a peace officer in discharging or <br /> attempting to discharge any legal duty or power of his or her office. <br /> 2.
