It is a misdemeanor for anyone to sell, give, furnish or cause to be furnished, <br /> or permit to be sold, given, furnished, or caused to be furnished to a minor a <br /> revolver, pistol, rifle, shotgun, or similar firearm, or any ammunition for the <br /> same. <br /> 2. It is a misdemeanor for a minor to purchase, possess or use a revolver, <br /> pistol, rifle, shotgun, or similar firearm, or any ammunition for the same. <br /> 3. In any prosecution under this section, it is an affirmative defense that the <br /> acts occurred while the minor was accompanied by or under the immediate <br /> charge of his or her parent or guardian, or while under the supervision of a <br /> certified safety instructor at an established gun range or firearm training <br /> class. <br /> 4. As used in this section, "minor" means any person less than eighteen (18) <br /> years of age. <br /> 5. In any prosecution under this section, it is not a defense that the actor <br /> reasonably believed that the other person was eighteen years of age or <br /> older. <br /> -8 9- <br />
