, '411P,; EVVle'L TT Ordinance No. 3234-11 An Ordinance relating to Domestic Violence Orders, Amending Ordinance Nos. 1145-85 §14, 1234-86, 2465-00, 2919-06 and 2417-99 as provided in Section 20 herein. Whereas, there have been multiple revisions to Ordinance No. 1234-86 (Chapter 10.22 EMC) since its adoption in 1986, resulting in the need to make certain revisions to the provisions in that Ordinance as amended, and Ordinance Nos. 2465-00, 2919-06 and 2417-99 (EMC Chapter 10.22); and Whereas, the City of Everett City Council deems it appropriate to adopt the revisions proposed herein to add necessary definitions to EMC Chapter 10.22, make consistent and proper references to the penalty section of Ordinance No. 1234-86 (EMC 10.22.040), properly reference felony statutes when circumstances exist that define violations of Domestic Violence Orders as felonies instead of gross misdemeanors, and make other similar changes; NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: Ordinance No. 1145-85 §14 (part) is amended by the addition of the following section: Court. "Court" includes the superior, district, and municipal courts of the state of Washington. Section 2: Ordinance No. 1145-85 §14 (part) is amended by the addition of the following section: Dating relationship. "Dating relationship" means a social relationship of a romantic nature. Factors that the court may consider in making this determination include: (a) The length of time the relationship has existed; (b) the nature of the relationship; and (c) the frequency of interaction between the parties. Section 3: Ordinance No. 1145-85 §14 (part) is amended by the addition of the following section: Domestic violence. "Domestic violence" means: (a) Physical harm, bodily injury, assault, or the infliction of fear of imminent physical harm, bodily injury or assault, between family or household members; (b) sexual assault of one family or household member by another; or (c)
