Southwest Snohomish County Public Safety Communications Agency <br /> (SNOCOM)provides emergency communications services to seven cities and one regional fire authority in <br /> southwest Snohomish County. The Boards of the two entities have voted to merge into a new 911 call <br /> response agency, to be known as Snohomish County 911, effective January 1,2018. With the approval of <br /> this Interlocal Agreement,Everett will become a principal member of the new agency. Everett will execute <br /> the"Initial Election to Receive Emergency Communication Services from Snohomish County 911"for both <br /> Police and Fire/EMS and Everett's user fee for 2018 will be assessed,which is identical to the fee the City <br /> would otherwise pay to SNOPAC. The fee will vary slightly in future years according to the formula set out <br /> in Exhibit C. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Snohomish County Regional Public Safety Communications Agency <br /> Interlocal Agreement. <br /> 11 <br />
