EXHIBITA SCOPE OF WORK A. Project Description: The goal of this project is a suspended sculpture to be sited at the Evergreen Branch Library, 9512 Evergreen Way,Everett,Washington. B. Requirements: 1. The Artist agrees that an essential element of this agreement is the skill and creativity of the Artist. The Artist,therefore,shall not assign the creative or artistic portions of the Work to another party without the consent of the City. 2. In the event that the Artist must make changes to the design during construction,the Artist shall present any changes in the scope, design, character,medium, structure or installation of the project to the City for approval. 3. The Artist will provide information to the City regarding materials and finishes to be used in the creation of the Work. Substitutions may be requested by the City in the event that the proposed materials do not comply with health and safety issues. 4. Upon completion of the Work and prior to final payment the Artist must submit the following to the City: a. Digital images of the artwork installed and b. An information sheet which details the materials used in and the care and maintenance required for the Work; c. An Artist's statement concerning the Work that the City may use for public information purposes; 5. The Artist shall participate in a dedication ceremony. 6. The Artist shall acknowledge the City's role in funding the Work in all public presentations and written,printed or electronic publication of information regarding the Work. C. Consultation: The Artist will consult as necessary with the Project Manager(or design staff and/or sub- consultants)in order to complete the Scope of Work specified in this Agreement. D. Art Work Description: Suspended sculptural artwork for the Evergreen Library. E. Technical Specifications: Artist will submit engineering drawings to the City for approval. F. Installation: Artist is responsible for installation of the suspended artwork. 160
