Exhibit "A"
Scope of Services, Time of Performance, Budget,
Payment, Notices, and Representatives
I. Scope of Service
A. Activities/Project Description
The Subgrantee will be responsible for administering the DYI STEM program in a manner
satisfactory to the City and consistent with any standards required as a condition of providing these
funds. Such program will include the following activities eligible under the Community Development
Block Grant Program:
Program Delivery
Activity: We will implement an after school educational enrichment program called DIY STEM. We
will use a nationally validated curriculum with complete curriculum program kits supplied in
partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of America and STEMfinity. The program sessions will meet
weekly over a 40 week period, serving at least 50 low income youth, ages 9-18, and allow our kids to
explore science concepts like engineering design, chemistry, energy/electricity and aeronautics.
These activities will stimulate discovery and new interest in STEM-related areas, helping our youth
make connections between scientific principles and real-world applications.
General Administration
[Add description of general administrative services to be performed in support of activities noted above]
Along with the required program planning, preparation and implementation, staff will record
attendance and frequency of participation. A pretest and post test will also be administered to
measure the gain in interest and knowledge. Demographic information will be recorded via our
Kidtrax software.
A-1
