/ // <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 1 • <br /> ORDINANCE NO.L�—I,57 <br /> AN ORDINANCE adopting a new set of fees for all land use actions <br /> and repealing Ordinance No. 701-80 and Ordinance 1124-85 <br /> WHEREAS, changes have been made to the City's land use development <br /> ordinances which require additional staff time to administer those <br /> ordinances; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the fees for various land use <br /> development permits and has determined that it is in the best interest of <br /> the City of Everett and its citizens to adopt a new set of filing fees; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Everett does ordain: <br /> SECTION I: TITLE: This Ordinance shall hereafter be known as the <br /> "Land Use Development Permit Fee Ordinance," may be cited as such, and will <br /> hereinafter be referred to as "this Ordinance." <br /> SECTION II: PURPOSE: The purpose of this Ordinance is to provide a <br /> consolidated and consistent set of filing fees for all land use development <br /> permit applications which will best satisfy the following needs. <br /> A. Provide a single convenient listing of all land use development <br /> permit application fees for the general public and city staff. <br /> B. Provide a greater degree of consistency and equity in setting <br /> fees for similar types of land use development permits. <br /> C. Expedite City permit processing and provide greater convenience <br /> to permit applicants by reducing the number of fees to be paid <br /> for each proposed project and to consolidate the payment of <br /> land use development permit fees at one central City Department. <br /> D. Collect sufficient revenues to offset a reasonable share of the <br /> costs incurred by the City in reviewing and approving each type <br /> of land use development permit application. <br />
