/ r F ORDINANCE NO. /1-141) - ff AN ORDINANCE annexing Mukilteo School District No. 6 property generally located north of 100th Street S.W. and including the Sno-Isle Vocational Skills Center, Explorer Jr. High School, Challenger Elementary School, and the School District Administrative Center facilities. WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35.13.130 and RCW 28A.58.044, a petition was presented to the City Council of the City of Everett proposing the annexation of certain property; and WHEREAS, the petition which was filed pursuant to RCW 35.13.130 and RCW 28A.58.044 was signed by the Superintendent of the School District as authorized by the Mukilteo School District No. 6 Board of Directors; and WHEREAS, the petition which was filed pursuant to RCW 35.13.130 constituted not less than seventy-five percent in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxes of the property proposed to be annexed; and WHEREAS, the City Council did fix September 30, 1987, for a hearing upon said petition, and cause notice of hearing to be published in one issue of the Everett Herald, a newspaper of general circulation in the City, and caused said notice also to be posted in three places within the territory proposed for annexation, which notice as published and as posted specified the time and place of hearing and invited interested persons to appear and testify on the annexation; and WHEREAS, following the hearing, the City Council determined to annex all of the property described in the petition as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the required forty-five days' review period for the proposed annexation has elapsed without the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board's jurisdiction having been invoked, as set forth in Chapter 477, Laws of 1987, State of Washington; and WHEREAS, the Boundary Review Board has issued its written findings on December kc5, 1987, to this effect.
