sides of the existing oxidation pond to more thoroughly <br /> circulate its contents; <br /> (2 ) a small pump station at the southern end of the oxida- <br /> tion pond to regulate the flows between the two recircu- <br /> lation channels; <br /> (3 ) a 9, 500 square foot office building in which to house <br /> the treatment plant' s laboratory, administration and <br /> maintenance activities; <br /> (4) a scum-containment baffle installed at the aerated <br /> lagoon' s influent point to contain oils and debris; <br /> (5 ) additional surface aerators and mooring piles to enhance <br /> the treatment plant' s aeration capacity; <br /> ( 6) restoration of a presently-disturbed wetlands area to <br /> compensate for the wetlands used in the construction of <br /> the new treatment plant facilities; <br /> (7 ) repair of the treatment plant' s effluent tide gate, and <br /> installation of an effluent flowmeter; <br /> (8) installation of fences and gates surrounding the treat- <br /> ment plant facilities; and <br /> (9) construction of pipelines along the center dike of the <br /> aerated lagoon, as preparatory to the construction of <br /> the treatment plant. <br /> ( 10) construction of trickling filters, a solids contact <br /> basin, secondary clarifiers and associated aeration and <br /> pumping equipment. <br /> ( 11 ) construction of dissolved air flotation thickeners and <br /> other associated solids handling facilities and equip- <br /> ment including sludge utilization/disposal site <br /> facilities. <br /> ( 12 ) construction of site piping, utilities, landscaping and <br /> other associated improvements needed for a complete <br /> operating facility. <br /> The City shall provide all equipment, connections and appur- <br /> tenances together with all work as may be incidental and necessary <br /> to complete the Project, which is further described in the <br /> "Engineering Report on Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion" by <br /> Brown and Caldwell, Consulting Engineers, dated April 1987 . Said <br /> report is on file in the offices of the City. The Project facili- <br /> ties shall be integrated into the System as required to provide a <br /> fully operational facility. <br /> The City may make such changes in or additions to the Project <br /> or in the construction or design of other facilities of the System <br /> -14- KR180 88/01/11 <br />
