These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 2012 International Residential Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. Details and engineering should be provided for the foundation work that is underway. 2. The smolce detectors should be shown to be hardwired with battery backup and interconnected. Section R314 3. The window heights for the egress windotivs in the sleeping rooms should be shown at a maximum 44" above the floor. The clear diinensions of the windows when in the open position should be shown on the plans. Section R310.1 4. The garage/attic separation should be shown to continue through the attic to the underside of the roof/ceiling assembly. If the garage ceiling provides the separation instead of the wall through the attic, the attic access should be moved to within the dwelling unit or a listed fire rated hatch should be provided. Section R3 02.5 5. The size of the whole-house and kitchen exhaust f�ns should be noted on the plans. The outdoor air intalce should be directly fi�om the exterior and not drawn Iiom the attic.
