CITY OF EVERETT, WASHINGTONN <br /> ORDINANCE NO. /44' f? <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to local improvement districts <br /> authorizing the City Director of Finance and the City <br /> Treasurer, or either of them, to negotiate contracts <br /> for interim financing of the costs and expense of <br /> such districts pending the issuance of bonds, such <br /> contracts to be executed in the name of the City in <br /> the manner provided by its Charter. <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable to provide by general ordinance <br /> authority for the City Director of Finance and the City <br /> Treasurer, or either of them, to negotiate the terms and <br /> conditions of contracts for interim financing of the costs and <br /> expense of local improvement districts of the City pending the <br /> issuance of bonds, all pursuant to chapter 39. 50 RCW, such <br /> contracts to be executed in the name of the City in the manner <br /> provided by its Charter; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT, <br /> WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. The City Director of Finance and the City <br /> Treasurer, or either of them, is authorized to negotiate the <br /> terms and conditions of contracts for the sale of short-term <br /> obligations as authorized by chapter 39. 50 RCW up to the maximum <br /> of the then estimated costs and expense of each local <br /> improvement district. Such contracts shall be executed in the <br /> name of the City by the Mayor, and attested by the City Clerk, <br /> after approval as to form and legality by the <br />
