ORDINANCE NO. /7-1/45---r? <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for <br /> the City of Everett for fiscal year <br /> commencing January 1, 1988, on all taxable <br /> property, both real and personal, in said <br /> City , subject to taxation thereon, for the <br /> purpose of raising a portion of the revenue <br /> to carry on the different departments of <br /> said City for the ensuing year, as required <br /> by the Charter of the City of Everett and <br /> the laws of the State of Washington ; <br /> prescribing and apportioning the same into <br /> the different funds of said City for the <br /> fiscal year , and providing for the <br /> collection thereof. <br /> WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Everett duly and <br /> regularly adopted as required by law the estimate of the <br /> amounts required to meet the public expense of said City for <br /> the ensuing year and the amount to be raised by taxation in <br /> said City for said ensuing year from sources other than direct <br /> taxation, and <br /> WHEREAS , the qualified electors of the City voted approval of <br /> an additional regular property tax in the amount equal to <br /> twenty-five cents per thousand dollars of the assessed value of <br /> property in the City for funding an emergency medical services <br /> program, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett will be required to pay the sum of <br /> $234, 933 during the year 1988 upon its General Obligation 1982 <br /> Housing Authority Bond for payment of principal and interest , <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , there are other monies available to make the 1988 <br /> payments on the General Obligation 1982 Housing Authority Bonds, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN : <br /> Section 1 : That there be , and hereby is, levied upon real and <br /> personal property in the City of Everett , subject to taxation <br /> thereon, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the <br /> ensuing year commencing on January 1, 1988 in the sum of <br /> $10, 579, 508 allocated as follows: <br /> General Current Expense Fund $8, 117, 795 <br /> Emergency Medical Services 741, 713 <br /> Firemen' s Pension Fund 1, 720, 000 <br /> General Obligation 1982 Housing <br /> Authority Bond, Principal and Interest -0- <br /> TOTAL $10, 579, 508 <br />
