The cxisting hotise is supported o» post and pier foundations and includes
a more recent addition supported on conventional sprcld footings. The portion of the 100-ycar
old hoLlse supported on post and pier foundations has settled unevenly and particularly at the NE
corner of the residence. Differential settlement on the order of 4 inches was observed in the
house.
The proposed foundation repair/replacement includes constructing a new perimeter foLindation
and interior strip footings to support the cxistinhouse. We anticipate constniction of
conventional concrete foundations with concrete stem walls. Excavation for the footings will be
on thc ordcr of about 3 feet below existing gradc. Footings will bc supportcd on native,
undisturbcd glacial soils.
PO Box 30759,Sttle,W4 98113 Phore: 206.525.5097
, j

,
 '
