IFC 901.6 Inspection, testing and maintenance <br /> Comments: Internal inspection of sprinkler piping. Your system must be <br /> inspected/tested by a licensed fire protection contractor as defined in <br /> RCW 18.160 and Chapter 212-80, WAC. One copy of the test report, <br /> signed by the person performing the test, shall be maintained on site; a <br /> second copy shall be forwarded to the Everett Fire Marshal's Office <br /> located at 2930 Wetmore Avenue, Suite 7-A, Everett WA 98201-3629. <br /> (IFC 901.6 & NFPA 25). <br /> Location: Sprinkler system in basement <br /> 7. IFC 907.8 Inspection, testing and maintenance <br /> Comments: Whenever required for compliance with the provisions of this code, <br /> devices, equipment, systems, conditions, arrangements, levels of <br /> protection or other features shall thereafter be continuously maintained in <br /> accordance with applicable NFPA requirements or as directed by the fire <br /> code official. <br /> Location: Repair smoke detectors in elevator lobby and machine room for elevator <br /> recall and shunt trip. <br /> These comments address fire and building issues only. Revisions or additions may be required <br /> by other departments (such as Utilities or Planning). All required submittals must be of <br /> sufficient detail and information to ensure that the proposed structure will be constructed in <br /> compliance with all adopted codes. <br /> Unless noted otherwise, code references cited include the 2012 International Building Code <br /> (IBC), 2012 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 International Mechanical Code (IMC), the <br /> 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), the 2012 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), the <br /> 2012 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC) and the ICC/ANSI A117.1-2009 <br /> Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. All codes referenced, as adopted by the City of <br /> Everett, must include current revisions by the State of Washington. <br /> Fire Code Inspections are based on Everett Municipal (EMC) Code Chapter 16.03 FIRE CODE <br /> which adopts the requirements of the current International Fire Code (IFC) as well as state and <br /> local amendments to it. Accordingly, enforcement action under the Everett Municipal Code may <br /> result from not remedying the violation(s). A copy of the Everett Building and Fire Codes are <br /> available for viewing at the City Clerk's office. <br /> This notice is an action of the Fire Code Official for purposes of EMC 16.64.030, which <br /> establishes a procedure for requesting the Board of Review to authorize compliance with the <br /> Everett Fire Code through the use of suitable alternative materials, alternative types and <br /> methods of construction, and a proposed equivalent method of protection or safety. The Board <br /> of Review does not have the authority to waive requirements of the Everett Fire Code but may <br /> authorize a plan for phasing in compliance.
