The design
drawings were revised to incorporate Jane's review comments as described on the bottom of this string of
email messages. We believe Jane's review comments have been completely addressed.
The grading plan (C3.0) was revised to direct more storm runoff from the parking lot to the bioretention
cells. The revised grading was sent over to Jane for a quick look before the Labor Day holiday. See message
below.
As suggested, extruded curbs have been added around the bioretention cells. Curb opening locations have
been added to the grading drawing, and a curb opening detail has been included in the site grading drawing
(C3.0). A gravel pad for each curb opening is also added (C3.0 & C4.0).
Three new drawing sheets for irrigation designs (L1.2 & L1.3) and planting details (L1.4) have been added to
the drawing set since last submittal. These drawings are not required for permit review but are needed for
construction. Because we are using the same set of drawings for both permit approval and construction, we
included these three new sheets to the drawing set.
Thank you.
Ding Ye, PE
LEED AP, CCCA
Senior Engineer
Reid Middleton
Engineers Planners Surveyors
425-741-3800 Fax: 425-741-3900
From:Jane Zimmerman [mailto:JZimmerman@everettwa.gov]
Sent:Thursday, September 03, 2015 4:12 PM
To: LeifJohansen <Ijohansen@reidmiddleton.com>
Cc: Ding Ye<dye@reidmiddleton.com>; Kirk Brooks<KBrooks@everettwa.gov>
Subject: RE: 1001 N Broadway, building demo and parking lot construction
Hi Leif—
Thank you very much for your written response and for modifying your plans in accordance with my comments. I've
only been able to take a quick look at the revised plans, but if you add a note regarding the required spacing and width
of the curb cuts, as well as a detail that shows a profile view of a typical curb cut and the relative ground
elevation/surface in the raingarden to prevent vegetation blocking the curb cut and/or erosion at the curb cut entrance
1/
