Any employee whose base salary under a previous schedule is greater than <br /> the base salary provided in the schedule contained in this ordinance <br /> shall continue to receive the previous base pay; salaries not covered by <br /> collective bargaining will be set per the compensation ordinance. <br /> B. Ranges prefaced by "P" are established by the City Council in accordance <br /> with the City Charter of Everett. <br /> C. Range numbers prefaced by "R" are considered to be the minimum, mid-point <br /> and maximum salary ranges within which the Mayor may set the salary to be <br /> paid to employees covered by the compensation ordinance. <br /> Section 4: <br /> A. Day laborers employed by the City will be rated by their qualifications, <br /> experience , nature of duties and background, and compensated at a minimum <br /> of no less than the current minimum wage. <br /> B. The Mayor and/or his designee together with each Department Head <br /> employing day laborers shall establish the rate of pay based on the <br /> qualifications, experience, nature of duties and background of each day <br /> laborer employee . <br /> C. In the case of Library day laborer or Library page employees , the Library <br /> Board together with the Library Director shall establish the rate of pay <br /> based on the qualifications , experience and background of each library <br /> day laborer employee or Library page employee. <br />
