ORDINANCE NO. /23-17/- g7 AN ORDINANCE creating a special fund entitled "112th Street S.E. Widening," Fund 385 to accumulate all the design, right-of-way, and construction costs for the 112th Street Widening project including sanitary sewers, water mains and other appurtenances. WHEREAS, on September 24, 1985, the City of Everett entered an agreement with the State of Washington Urban Arterial Board (UAB) for funding in the amount of $1,300,000 for the design and construction of 112th Street S.E. Widening from 3rd Avenue S.E. to 19th Avenue S.E. ; and WHEREAS, on October 30, 1985, Ordinance 1181-85 was passed which budgeted $170,000 in Fund 368, Program 362 titled "Traffic Engineering Improvements" for the design of the 112th Street Widening project; and WHEREAS, on September 17, 1986, the City of Everett Council passed Ordinance 1291-86 ordering the construction of a sanitary sewer on 112th Street from 3rd Avenue S.E. east to I-5, and the establishment of LID No. 722 providing $276,800 for estimated costs of the improvements; and WHEREAS, on February 18, 1987, the City of Everett Council approved an agreement between the Silver Lake Water District and the City of Everett to share the costs of designing and constructing water main improvements on 112th Street from 7th Avenue S.E. to I-5; and WHEREAS, in order to avoid duplicating efforts and costs and in order to avoid unneccessary disruptions to the community, the 112th Street S.E. Widening project was designed to include the proposed sanitary sewer L.I.D. project and the Silver Lake Water District Water Main Improvement in a single project; and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund 385, entitled "112th Street S.E. Widening" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct the street widening, sanitary sewer main, water main and other necessary improvements. Section 2: Authorization is hereby given providing for the transfer of design and construction funds from the existing "Traffic Engineering Improvements" Fund 368, Program 362, to the new Fund 385, Program 898, 112th Street Widening (3rd Avenue S.E. to 19th Avenue S.E.) , Design and Construction. Section 3: Authorization is hereby given providing for reimbursement of design and construction funds from the existing Sanitary Sewer Improvement Fund 722, Program 876, to the new Fund 385, Program 876, 112th Street S.E. , Sanitary Sewer (3rd Avenue to I-5) , Design and Construction.
