„Op <br /> 4040,0•EA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 7201 <br /> A RESOLUTION DECLARING A PORTION OF THE APPROXIMATELY 21-ACRE CITY-OWNED REAL <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6107 BERKSHIRE DRIVE, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE WATER <br /> RESERVOIR#3 SITE, AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING ITS TRANSFER TO CATHOLIC HOUSING <br /> SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds and concludes: <br /> Surplus Unneeded Reservoir Property <br /> A. The City owns property for utility purposes as described in Exhibit A, which is a <br /> portion of the City property located at 6107 Berkshire Drive, commonly known as Water <br /> Reservoir#3. The City utilities department has determined that this property not needed for <br /> utility purposes. This property is referred to in this resolution as the "Unneeded Reservoir <br /> Property.” <br /> B. The City utilities division has need for the real property at the northeast corner of <br /> 26th Street and West Marine View Drive, to meet future storm water facilities needs to serve the <br /> north end of the City. This property is currently owned by the City for general fund purposes.This <br /> property is referred to in this resolution as the "26th Street Property." <br /> C. An appraisal of the Unneeded Reservoir Property determined its value to be <br /> $360,000.00. An appraisal of the 26th Street Property determined its value to be $680,000.00. <br /> D. The utilities division intends to exchange the Unneeded Reservoir Property for <br /> the 26th Street Property. Because of difference in appraised value between the two properties, <br /> the utilities division will transfer$320,000.00 to the general fund. <br /> E. In addition,the Unneeded Reservoir Property is not needed for any City purpose. <br /> All City Departments have completed review of the Unneeded Reservoir Property for surplus and <br /> it has received approval from the Mayor. <br /> F. In accordance with RCW 35.94.040, the City of Everett held a public hearing on <br /> January 3, 2018 regarding the proposed surplus of the Unneeded Reservoir Property. <br /> G. The Everett City Council finds and determines that the Unneeded Reservoir <br /> Property is not and will not be needed for City purposes and is therefore surplus. <br /> H. The Everett City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to surplus <br /> the Unneeded Reservoir Property. <br />
