Also, we compared the capacity of 7/16" OSB to `/z" CDX Plywood. Based on the photos provided, the STHD 14 straps do not appear to meet the manufacture's installatian requirements. A retrofit detail has been provided to replace the STHD14 straps specific to each location. Please reference photos for detail locations. The use of 7/]6" OSB will result in a reduction of shear capacity to 87.5% compared %" CDX Plywood. Thus, the use of 7/16" OSB is permitted provided the original shearwall design, using `/z" CDX Plywood, was not stres5ru t;: �rc�.ter t�::�� 5°!� uncler desi�n loads at any location where 7/l 6" OSB is to be used.
