These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the (2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residentiai Code,) as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it wili be necessary to provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the corrections requested. 1. Please see the previous correction letter (enclosed), all items that are highlighted need to be addressed alonc� with the following c�rrecti�ns for the revised plans s�ibmitted. 2. The 2 x 8 Hem Fir #2 and the 2 x 6 Hem fir #2 "Rim Joists"specified for deck beams appear to be undersized for t the required design loads. Provide gravity calculations for beams supporting the decks. 3. Provide gravity calculations for diagonal (2) 2 x 8 beam supporting deck joists at southwest corner of proposed deck. 4. Attic insulation is required to be minimum R-49. The insulation can be reduced to R-38 "wherever the full height of R-38 insulation extends over the wall top plates." A 2 x 6 rafter does not provide the full height required for R-38 insulation without compression. 5. R-10 Rigid insulation is required at all new headers. Show insulation required in section view.
